Capturing Brilliance Episode 021 –  5 reasons to offer free headshots at your booth at a convention or a trade show to draw a crowd, plus five bonus tips. That’s the topic we are covering today, and you want to take advantage of this one. I’ve never seen anything work better than offering free headshots at a convention or trade show booth. Those reasons and tips are coming up next on Capturing Brilliance.

Well, hello, everyone, and welcome to Capturing Brilliance. My name is Peter Szpakowski, and I am your host. Yes, I changed the name of the show. I renamed the podcast Capturing Brilliance because this show is about branding by using photography and videography to take your personal and professional brand to the next level. If you are using photography and videography to promote your brand, that is brilliant. What better way? I have been a branding specialist for over 15 years. For those 15 years, I have been a professional photographer and videographer. I travel around the country taking professional headshots, professional event photography, and professional video of individuals and businesses that promote business and careers. This podcast focuses on a business owner, entrepreneur, or even someone looking to enhance their career, life, and place through branding. For most of us today, people’s first impression of you is through an image or video. Making a great first impression can change your life and business. This podcast is tailor-made for you. In each episode, we’ll uncover the strategies and techniques behind building a solid, influential brand that resonates with your target audience.

I want this to be a podcast that can help people with their branding. How to use branding, where to get branding, and the best media for different types of branding. If you have a question for the podcast, you can submit those by going to 2mmheadshots.com/podcast. 2mmheadshots.com is my main picture. If you have a question or are interested in any of our services, going to either of these sites will get you the information you need to submit a question or request a service. That website again is 2mmheadshots.com/podcast.

Today we have a fantastic topic to discuss: the benefits of offering free headshots at your booth as a giveaway. I travel around the country taking headshots for businesses. In this digital age, a captivating headshot can make all the difference. So, let’s dive in and explore five compelling reasons for considering this innovative strategy.

Reason number one: Attracting a Larger Crowd. Picture this: you’re at a crowded trade show or conference, and your booth stands out amidst the sea of booths. How? By offering free headshots! People are naturally drawn to freebies, especially when they provide tangible value. By providing professional headshots at your booth, you create an opportunity for attendees to improve their brand and online presence. This unique offering will pique their interest and increase foot traffic to your booth. There are two things people like more than any other giveaway. Give them something with their name on it, or give them an image they can use of themselves as a promotional item for them in their online presence.

(Talk about working conventions and what I have seen draw a crowd. We even talked about how people got mad around us because we were building such a large crowd, and the crowd was blocking their booths.

Reason number two: Building Relationships. In the business world, making connections is vital. By offering free headshots, you create an engaging environment where people can interact with your brand meaningfully. As individuals come to your booth for their headshot, you can start conversations, learn about their interests, and establish a personal connection. These interactions lay the foundation for future collaborations, partnerships, or potential clients. Remember, relationships are vital in building a successful business!

Reason number three: Showcasing Your Expertise. You position yourself as a company that genuinely wants to help people when you offer free headshots at your booth. People will trust your skills and professionalism as they entrust you with their image. This is an excellent opportunity to showcase your expertise. Talk to the people in your booth and Take this chance to impress attendees with your knowledge, creativity, and attention to detail. By offering a top-notch experience, you’ll leave a lasting impression on potential customers. Will people remember the booth that gave away free pens or even a $20 Amazon gift card? Not really. Will they remember who gave them a free headshot? They will use something daily for the next 2 – 3 years. You bet. What other gift can you give away at a trade show where people will remember you 2 – 3 years after it ends? For most of these headshots, you can add your logo. People can easily crop that portion out when they use it for their profile picture on social media like LinkedIn. Still, they will have the original image for years to come.

Reason number four: Amplifying Brand Awareness. A giveaway like free headshots can generate a buzz around your brand. As attendees leave your booth with professional headshots, they become walking advertisements. They may share their headshots on social media, tag your brand, and spread the word about their unique experience at your booth. This organic exposure can significantly increase brand visibility and attract new customers looking for Your services by seeing these images; not even most will have attended the convention. Does a pen do that for you? No. Absolutely not.

Reason number five: Establishing Long-Term Connections. The value of free headshots extends beyond the initial interaction at your booth. This service lets you gather contact information from interested individuals, such as email addresses or social media handles. You can then follow up with them, providing additional value through newsletters, special offers, or resources related to photography or your business niche.

Talk about how I capture CRM data with the person’s image, and I collect this info for the clients that hire me to offer a headshot booth at their booth at the convention.

These touchpoints nurture long-term connections and keep your brand in mind when they require services in the future.

So, there you have it, folks – five compelling reasons why offering free headshots at your booth as a giveaway can significantly benefit your business. By attracting a larger crowd, building relationships, showcasing your expertise, amplifying brand awareness, and establishing long-term connections, you’re creating a win-win situation for both you and the attendees.

Before we wrap up today’s episode, I want to share a few additional tips and considerations when offering free headshots at your booth as a giveaway.

First, ensure that you have a professional setup at your booth. Invest in quality equipment and create a designated space that exudes professionalism. This will not only enhance the experience for the attendees but also reflect positively on your brand.

Second, promote your free headshot giveaway in advance. Use social media, email marketing, and other channels to create buzz and generate interest before the event. Let potential attendees know about this valuable opportunity, and consider creating a schedule or booking system to manage the flow of participants.

Third, leverage the power of branding. Customize the headshots with your company’s logo or a watermark. This increases brand visibility and ensures that people are reminded of your business and their positive experience at your booth whenever they see the headshot.

Host: Fourth, consider offering additional perks or incentives. For example, you can provide a digital copy of the headshot and a discount or special offer for your services. This adds extra value and encourages attendees to take advantage of the offer while building a relationship with your brand.

Follow up with the individuals who received the free headshots. Send them a personalized thank-you email and any additional resources or information relevant to their needs. This thoughtful gesture will leave a lasting impression and increase the chances of them becoming loyal customers or referring others to your business.

Offering free headshots at your booth is more than just taking a picture. It’s about creating an experience, building connections, and showcasing your expertise. So, take that extra step to provide a valuable service that sets you apart from the competition. Remember, the price difference is not that great between buying cheap crappy swag or offering an experience, a high-quality professional end product that people will remember for many years and share the experience with others.

That brings us to the end of today’s episode. I hope you enjoyed exploring the benefits of offering free headshots at your booth as a giveaway. Remember, you can significantly impact your business by attracting a larger crowd, building relationships, showcasing your expertise, amplifying brand awareness, and establishing long-term connections.

019 – The Power of First Impressions: Unleashing the Potential of Professional Headshots

Shutter Speed Episode 019. Welcome to our channel! I’m thrilled to have you here today because we’ll dive deep into the power of first impressions and how they can unleash your potential. Specifically, we’ll explore the incredible impact professional headshots can have on your personal and professional life.

I’m Peter Szpakowski, and welcome to the ‘Shutter Speed’ Where a powerful first impression can change your life. I have been a branding specialist for over 15 years. For those 15 years, I have been a professional photographer and videographer.   I travel around the country taking professional headshots, professional event photography, and professional video of individuals and businesses that promote business and careers. This podcast focuses on a business owner, entrepreneur, or even someone looking to enhance their career, life, and place in this world through branding. For most of us today, the first impression people have of you is through an image or video. And that will determine if there will even be another interaction after that first impression. This podcast is tailor-made for you. In each episode, we’ll uncover the strategies and techniques behind building a solid, influential brand that resonates with your target audience.

Branding is more than just a logo or a tagline. It’s the essence of your business or personal brand, the emotional connection you create with your customers or employers. (This is where you add more information.)

Suppose you are interested in professional headshots, portraits, or videography. Reach out to me. If you have a specific requirement or question for the show and you want to submit those to me, you can visit 2mmheadshots.com/podcast. I have information about my services and a form where you can submit questions to this podcast. Information on scheduling in the studio is also available at that site.

So about the questions. I want this podcast to be helpful for anybody that wants to know more about branding. I specialize in visual branding and copy. I will cover these topics here, but most will be around using imagery and videography. Future topics I have scheduled are what you should wear for a headshot session and how I can use branding to advance my career. How can I use branding to advance my acting career real estate career? Any other topic you can think of I would be happy to discuss and answer on here. Just head over to 2mmheadshots.com/podcast

So for today’s topic. Up until 2015, I was mainly a portrait and physique photographer. I was one of those photographers at bodybuilding and fitness shows, taking pictures for magazines like Flex, Muscle and Fitness, and muscular development. But around 2015, I wanted to branch out to something more. I love to help people. I love lifting people and helping them be the best they can be. Ever since I was a teenager, I wanted to be the next Tony Robbins. It was only natural for me to be drawn to professional headshots. So many headshots were so bad. They are still wrong. Want proof? I just got to LinkedIn and looked up CEO headshots. Most of them are terrible. They are old school. The person looks uncomfortable. They look like people I absolutely would never want to do business with. So I knew I could do better. I researched what I could do, and I found great mentors. Mentors that are the best in the industry. So today, we dive deeper into the potential of professional headshots, which has been my primary focus for almost ten years.

In this digital age, where connections are made with just a click, it’s more important than ever to understand the significance of your online presence. Your headshot is often the first glimpse people get of you, whether it’s on your LinkedIn profile, your website, or even in your email signature. That split second can make all the difference between grabbing someone’s attention or being passed over.

Think about it. When scrolling through a page full of profiles or searching for potential collaborators, what catches your eye? It’s those beautiful headshots that make you pause that make you want to learn more about the person behind the photo. For women, it could be a well-lit photo where you have a warm, welcoming glow, or for men, that may have slight shadows to make an image more mysterious.

  • What to Wear for Your Professional Headshot: Tips and Tricks for a Great Shot

What to Wear for Your Professional Headshot: Tips and Tricks for a Great Shot

In today’s job market, having a high-quality headshot is crucial as it can be the initial impression you make on potential employers, clients, or colleagues. Whether you’re using it on social media, your company’s website, or a conference brochure, it’s vital to dress appropriately for the situation and present yourself as a professional and well-groomed individual. This article provides tips and advice on what to wear for your professional headshot so that you can get the perfect shot.

Why is what you wear essential in a professional headshot?

When it comes to how others perceive you, your headshot plays a crucial role. It is important that it reflects your competence and confidence in your field. To achieve this impression, dressing appropriately is essential. Choosing the right attire for your headshot is crucial in representing your brand for social media and business cards. Make sure to select clothing that fits well and complements your skin tone.

Tips on What to Wear for your professional headshot

What style clothes should I wear for headshots, clothing suggestions for professional headshots

Avoid Bold Prints (What to Wear For A Headshot)

In the past, wearing a tie to work was considered a necessary part of being a professional. However, now it’s more important to dress according to the standards of your industry. If it’s acceptable, you can skip the tie. It’s crucial to dress appropriately for your field of work as each industry has its own dress code. For instance, if you work in finance, wearing a suit would be appropriate, while something more casual might be acceptable in the creative field.

You Are The Focus When Choosing What To Wear For A Headshot

During your headshot session, the focus should be on you, not your clothes. It is important to avoid bold, distracting prints and instead opt for solid colors that complement your skin tone. While it’s important to show off your personality, patterns and bright colors can be distracting and take away from your overall appearance. Therefore, it is best to keep your outfit simple and understated.

    Timeless Styles for Timeless Headshots

Choose classic styles for your headshot to ensure it remains timeless and updated.

Want To Look Thinner In Your Headshot?

Most people prefer to appear slim in their headshots. To avoid looking larger than you actually are, it’s best to avoid wearing an ill-fitted jacket or one with overly large shoulder pads. Taking care of small details can also make a big difference, such as ensuring your clothes are clean and ironed, and making sure your tie is straight and your collar is free of wrinkles.

    Accessorize Appropriately For Your Headshot

Accessories can add personality to your headshot, but avoiding anything too distracting or trendy is crucial. Opt for timeless accessories such as a simple necklace or classic earrings. Keep the jewelry to a minimum. Stud earrings are acceptable, and if you feel you must wear a necklace, go with something structured like a pearl. Just keep it short so that it doesn’t intersect with the neckline of your top.

Fake Eye Lashes For A Headshot?

Over the past five years, there have been significant improvements in the world of eyelashes. I would have advised against using eyelashes in headshots in the past, but it now depends on the situation. If done by a professional and not too excessive, eyelashes can be acceptable. I suggest using small to medium-thick eyelashes for headshots that show a lot of detail and are zoomed in. If the lashes are too long or thick, they can appear to have two rows of lashes. However, if necessary, I can always enhance the lashes during editing.

FAQs On What To Wear For Your Headshot Session

Can I wear glasses in my professional headshot?

Yes, you can wear glasses, but make sure they’re clean and don’t reflect light.

Should I wear a tie in my professional headshot?

It depends on your industry. If you work in a corporate setting, a tie might be appropriate. If you’re in a creative field, you can skip the tie.

Can I wear makeup in my professional headshot?

You can wear makeup, but keep it natural and straightforward.

What should I do with my hair in my professional headshot?

Your hair should be neat. Avoid any extreme hairstyles or colors.

Can I wear Jewelry For My Headshot?

You can wear jewelry but remember you are the point of interest. Having too much or too large of jewelry can be distracting in a headshot. A photographer may ask you to remove the jewelry for a different look but wear what brings out your personality.

What should I wear for an Acting Headshot

What type of role are you trying to acquire? I would use the type of clothes that your character would play. Funny go with lighter, brighter clothes; evil people go with dark clothes; laid back go with business casual. As you research your role, pay attention to the person’s style and bring those outfits to the headshot session.

    Conclusion:

Are you looking to make it big in your professional acting career? One way to present yourself as a polished and professional individual is by having a high-quality headshot. To achieve an outstanding headshot that accurately represents you and your personal brand, it’s crucial to dress appropriately and follow the tips and tricks outlined in this ultimate guide. Getting plenty of rest, staying hydrated, and avoiding drastic changes in your appearance are essential steps to take before your headshot session. Additionally, consider having at least two types of headshots, a commercial and a theatrical headshot. Look for a photographer who specializes in actor headshots, has experience working with actors, and has a good reputation. Creating a Strong Personal Brand

Investing in a professional headshot can pay off in the long run, as your headshot is crucial in building your personal brand. It establishes your professional identity and communicates your values and expertise to your target audience. A high-quality headshot can convey confidence, approachability, and reliability, while a poor one may turn off potential clients or employers. Therefore, it’s important to choose a photographer who can capture your unique personality and style, and who understands your industry and audience. With the right headshot, you can stand out from the crowd and make a lasting impression.

    Making a Positive First Impression

Investing in a professional headshot can create a positive first impression and provide new opportunities. Choosing a high-quality image that accurately represents your personal brand is critical. A great headshot can display your confidence, professionalism, and unique personality, all of which can set you apart in a competitive job market. So, take the time to invest in a high-quality headshot and see how new doors open up for you!

    Building Trust and Credibility

In today’s business world, having a professional headshot is crucial. It not only showcases your personal brand but also reflects your trustworthiness, credibility, and dedication to your profession. A well-done headshot can make a lasting impression on potential clients and business partners. Therefore, it’s essential to invest in a high-quality headshot that accurately represents your professional image. With a little effort, you can establish your reputation and build trust with your audience, which can take you far in your career.

    Standing Out From The Competition

Investing in a high-quality headshot is an investment in your personal brand that can help you stand out in a sea of competitors. A great headshot can set you apart in competitive industries, making a memorable impression. A professional photographer can assist you in capturing the perfect shot, highlighting your unique qualities and personality.

How to Choose the Right Headshot Photographer

Selecting the right headshot photographer is a crucial decision that can greatly impact the outcome of your photos. Here are some essential factors to consider when making your choice:

Define Your Purpose and Style Before you start your search for a headshot photographer, it’s important to define your purpose and the style you want to achieve. Ask yourself questions such as:

    • What is the intended use of the headshot?
    • What kind of image do you want to project?
    • Are you aiming for a traditional or contemporary look?
    • Do you prefer indoor or outdoor settings?
    • Are you looking for a specific mood or atmosphere?

Answering these questions will help you narrow your options and find a photographer whose style aligns with your vision.

    Research and Review Portfolios

Once you have a clear idea of your purpose and style, it’s time to start researching headshot photographers in your area. Look for photographers who specialize in headshots and have a strong portfolio showcasing their work. For example review their online galleries or social media profiles to understand their style, technical skills, and ability to capture their subjects’ unique qualities.

    Read Client Testimonials and Reviews

Client testimonials and reviews provide valuable insights into the photographer’s skill, communication skills, and ability to make their clients feel comfortable. For example read through reviews on their website or review work to gauge their reputation and see if their previous clients were satisfied with their services.

    Consider Experience and Specialization

Experience plays a vital role in the quality of headshots. Look for photographers with a proven track record and extensive experience capturing headshots. For example consider their specialization as well—some photographers may specialize in corporate headshots. Others may excel in capturing the essence of actors or models. Above all choose a photographer whose expertise aligns with your specific needs.

    Evaluate Technical Skills and Equipment

A skilled headshot photographer possesses technical expertise in light, composition, and posing techniques. Assess their ability to create flattering light setups, use professional equipment, and guide you through different poses to capture your best angles. Above all look for photographers who show attention to detail and have a keen eye for composition.

    Schedule a Consultation

Before you decide, you should schedule a consultation with your potential headshot photographer. This meeting allows you to discuss your vision, ask questions, and understand your personality and professionalism. I suggest a consultation because it lets you see if you have good chemistry and feel comfortable working with them.

    Discuss Pricing and Packages

During the consultation, inquire about the photographer’s pricing and packages. Understanding the cost and what is included in each package will help you make an informed decision. Consider factors such as the number of final edited photos, retouch services, and usage rights. Above all remember that investing in a high-quality headshot is an investment in your professional image and should be treated as such.

A Headshot is your digital handshake… What does yours say about you?

    Assess Communication and Reliability

Effective communication is crucial throughout the process of working with a headshot photographer. Assess their responsiveness to your questions, ability to understand and accommodate your needs, and reliability in meeting deadlines. Above all a photographer who is attentive, transparent, and communicates clearly will help ensure a smooth and stress-free experience.

    Consider Recommendations and Referrals

Word-of-mouth recommendations and referrals can be invaluable when selecting a headshot photographer. Contact colleagues, friends, or industry professionals with headshots taken and ask for their suggestions. For example their personal experiences can guide you toward finding a reputable and talented photographer.

    Trust Your Instincts

Ultimately, trust your feelings when you choose a headshot photographer. If something feels off or you have negative thoughts, listening to those feelings is a must. Above all your headshot reflects yourself, and you deserve to work with a photographer who understands your vision and makes you feel comfortable and confident.

    The Importance of Actor Headshots

If you’re an aspiring actor, a captivating headshot that catches the attention of the right people is essential. A high-quality headshot can highlight your personality and showcase your best qualities, paving the way for auditions and job opportunities. It’s the first step towards establishing yourself in the industry, so a headshot is a must-have if you want to succeed in acting. In addition, it’s crucial to select the right photographer, wardrobe, and makeup to guarantee that your headshot is professional and presents you in the best possible light. Taking the time and effort to produce a remarkable headshot can set you apart from other aspiring actors and improve your chances of landing the roles you desire.

Types of Actor Headshots, Stage Headshots, Theatre Headshots.

If you’re an aspiring actor looking to make it big in the industry, it’s important to know that there are two main types of headshots: commercial and theatrical. Commercial headshots are typically used for advertisements and feature a friendly, approachable demeanor with a smile. Meanwhile, theatrical headshots are used for TV shows, films, and stage productions and typically feature a more dramatic, character-focused look. Having at least two types of headshots is recommended to showcase your unique personality, professionalism, and talent in the industry.

    What to Wear?

When preparing for your headshot, choosing clothing that enhances your skin tone and eye color and accentuating your best features is important. It is recommended to select solid colors and avoid complex patterns or logos. Women should avoid sleeveless tops and revealing necklines, while men should avoid ties with intricate designs. Also, consider the style and tone of the photo shoot. For a corporate headshot, stick to more professional attire, while a creative or casual shoot may allow for more personality in your clothing choices. Experiment with different options and don’t be afraid to ask for feedback from the photographer. Remember, your headshot is often the first impression you make, so take the time to make it count.

    How to Choose a Photographer?

Are you looking to take your acting career to the next level? Choosing the right photographer for your headshots is critical to showcasing your unique personality and professionalism. Look for a photographer who specializes in actor headshots, has experience working with actors, and has a good reputation. Additionally, it’s recommended to request referrals and review the photographer’s portfolio before scheduling a session. This way, you can ensure that you find the best photographer who understands the industry and can capture your distinct personality.

How to Prepare for an Actor Headshot Session?

To get the best results during your headshot session, it’s important to prepare ahead of time. Start by getting plenty of rest and staying hydrated. Get a haircut a few days before the shoot and avoid any drastic changes in your appearance. Be sure to choose your outfits carefully, making sure they are clean and wrinkle-free. To top it off, practice your facial expressions and poses in front of a mirror.

What Happens During an Actor Headshot Session?

During your headshot session, the photographer will take various shots with different poses, outfits, and backgrounds. They will guide you on how to pose and which expressions to make, so it’s important to communicate your preferences with them. The session typically lasts for a few hours, and hundreds of shots will be taken. Relax and have fun, trusting the photographer to capture your unique personality, professionalism, and talent. Wear comfortable clothing and bring any props or accessories that will enhance your headshots. Make sure to get plenty of rest the night before and drink lots of water to stay hydrated. It’s also a good idea to have a light snack before the session to keep your energy up. Lastly, review the photographer’s portfolio beforehand to ensure their style aligns with your vision for your headshots.

What to Expect After an Actor Headshot Session?

After your headshot session, you will receive the images from the photographer. Choosing the best images that showcase your personality, professionalism, and talent is crucial. Before making a final decision, it is recommended to seek feedback from your agent or acting coach. Once you have selected the images, the photographer will edit them and provide you with the final product. Remember that the images you choose will be one of the most critical components of your acting portfolio, so take your time and choose wisely. Don’t rush the process and consider your options carefully. Your headshots represent you and your brand, so make sure they reflect the best version of yourself.

Once you have your actor headshots, you must use them effectively to get noticed by industry professionals. Here are some tips on how to use actor headshots:

    1. Include your headshots in your acting resume and portfolio. This will help casting directors and agents better understand your personality and range.

A professional headshot can make all the difference in creating a polished and professional image for your business. Whether updating your website, revamping your social media presence, or preparing for a speaking engagement, a corporate headshot is a valuable investment in your brand. But how do you find the best corporate headshot photographer in Fort Worth? In this guide, we’ll provide tips and tricks to ensure you find a photographer that meets your budget and captures the essence of your business.

Define Your Vision For Your Team Headshot

    1. What type of headshot are you looking for?

Corporate headshots come in various styles, each tailored to convey a specific professional image. The traditional headshot typically features a subject against a neutral backdrop, focusing on a clean and polished appearance, often preferred in conservative industries. On the other hand, environmental headshots take a more candid approach, capturing individuals in their work environment to add a touch of authenticity and personality. Creative headshots allow for artistic expression, using unconventional angles, lighting, and backgrounds to showcase a company’s innovative spirit. Executive portraits emphasize authority and leadership, often incorporating props or settings that convey a sense of power and confidence. Regardless of the style, the main goal is to create a visual representation that aligns with the corporate brand while highlighting the individual’s competence and approachability.

    2. What is the purpose of the group headshot?

A group headshot is an effective tool for visually representing a cohesive team within an organization. Its purpose is to convey a sense of unity, professionalism, and collaboration among team members. A group headshot gives clients, stakeholders, and the public a visual identity for the collective effort behind a company’s success. It is often utilized in company websites, annual reports, and marketing materials to humanize the organization, showcasing the diverse individuals contributing to its shared goals. This collective image strengthens the brand and fosters a sense of belonging and teamwork among employees, reinforcing that the organization operates as a unified entity.

    3. What style of corporate headshot best suits your brand?

Choosing the right corporate headshot style ensures that the visual depiction of team members aligns with the overall brand identity. A traditional headshot against a neutral backdrop would be the best option for brands prioritizing professionalism and trustworthiness. This type of headshot projects a clean and polished image. Conversely, companies that highlight innovation and a modern approach may prefer creative headshots that use distinctive angles, lighting, and backgrounds to express a sense of creativity and forward-thinking. The decision between an environmental or studio setting depends on whether the brand wants to convey a more relaxed and authentic atmosphere or maintain a formal and controlled aesthetic. Ultimately, the chosen corporate headshot should reflect the company’s values, culture, and industry expectations, ensuring a visual representation that resonates with the target audience and reinforces the desired brand image.

Learn about Finding The Best Corporate Headshot Photographer

Got a question? We’ve got you covered! Check out the resources below, and let us know if we can answer anything else.

How long does a headshot session take?

A typical Corporate session can take 5 min to 90 min. It might seem like a big difference, but for big corporate shoots where I am taking headshots of 20 – 300 people, I will typically take 5 – 10 min each. For people looking to have a more specialized session, I will take multiple different poses, clothing changes, backgrounds, etc. These are more individual and can take up to 90 min. Until the customer is happy is the goal.

How can I prepare for my headshot session?

Get rest, drink water, and for men, you may want to shave before the headshot to get a cleaner look.

What should I wear for my headshot?

Please keep it simple; I always suggest keeping it simple and avoiding loud colors or loud patterns. Loud colors can reflect off the skin and give you a pink, green, or whatever bright color you are wearing look. Want to look like the Incredible Hulk? Wear bright green :). Layering is always great, too. Sports coats, jackets, and sweaters are all something that gives the images more dimension. You can’t go wrong with black and white. Earthtones are great, too.
